PS LAH DEE DAH 'Rest in Peace' Lah Dee Dah, Ponderosa Stud and Heather Ip of Cooramin Stud lost this wonderful mare. She will always be remembered.
PS LECTRIC Hazel Roberts bought LECTRIC from Ponderosa Stud as a 2 year old. Hazel has had a wonderful time breaking in her lovely gelding and educating him along the way. They have had a successful end to the year at the SADA Championships by winning Preliminary Champion and scoring 70% - Congratulations Hazel & Lectric
Victorian Dressage Championships, Werribee. Ponderosa Stud had Ruth Schneeberger as the rider, with strappers Cheryl Hatswell, Natalie Goldsworthy and Cathy Giblin. A great social event for all of us.
ROYAL DANCER At Werribee, Dancer was the first horse of the day to compete in the Preliminary class and performed brilliantly to score 76.6% to win this class and have the highest score of the Victorian Dressage Championships over the weekend. LUCIOUS Competing in the Novice and Elementary and being part of the SA team in Victoria, Lucious placed 5th in the Elementary and 6th in the Novice and 3rd in the state team.
FLOWERVALE FREEREIGN Ruth and Freereign had 2 wonderful relaxed tests in the Victorian Advanced Championships to place 2nd in both tests and take out the Advanced Championships with 68.415% & 62.5%
HERVEY BEY Ruth and Hervey had a great weekend in Victoria to come 6th in the Inter 2, 3rd in the Grand Prix CDN and 3rd in the Grand Prix Freestyle.
LUCARNO Lizzie Sobecki and Lucarno competed in the Para Championships at Werribee which had International riders from the USA & NZ competing in her classes. This was another qualifying event for the London Olympics. There are 3 events, the team test where Lizzie had an error of course but placed 7th then 3rd in the Individual test with scores very close to the USA and NZ riders. The freestyle was again very close and Lizzie placed 3rd. We wish both of them good luck for the next qualifying competition for the London Olympics being held next year in 2012 and will keep you all updated as to how they perform.
PS LOVERBOY Chris Kelly and Loverboy had their 1st competition at the MCDC Championships where they came runner up Prep Champions winning one test on 69.41% and 2nd with 66.19%4
National Dressage Championships Horsley Park Sydney Ponderosa Stud had Ruth Schneeberger as the rider, Cheryl Hatswell, Judy Clutterbuck and Natalie Goldsworthy as Strappers for this prestigious event.
LUCIOUS Performed exceeding well in the National Elementary Championships with a 13th placing out of the top 35 horses entered from around Australia. To qualify for this event, horses needed an average of 67% from 3 Elementary tests to enter. There were 10 reserve horses waiting for a start. Scores were close and in the 3D the winning score was 66% with Lucious on 61%
FLOWERVALE FREEREIGN At Horsley Park and the National Advanced Championships, Ruth & Freereign competed against the top 35 horses from around Australia to place 14th in both tests.
PS REYNHARDT Julie Barnes and Reynhardt have formed a great partnership and in their 1st Associate Championships at SVDC where they were runner up Prelim Champions with great scores of 76.667% and 71.765%
ROYAL DANCER The 1st Ridden Outing for Royal Dancer and her rider Ruth Schneeberger. Held at AHDC and competing in Preliminary Dressage where this super combination scored a massive 80% to win the class. Royal Dancer also won 2011 Supreme Led Warmblood Exhibit at the Adelaide Royal Show. The second outing was held at SVDC and competed in Preliminary Dressage for another win and a score of 75% At the Spring Dressage Championships they performed gallantly with two thirds to their credit and Runner Up Prelim Champion The full sister to Royal Dancer is for sale “Royalty” – photo on FOR SALE PAGE
LYRICAL At the Adelaide Hills Spring Dressage Championships Anne Smith and Lyrical had their second start in the Advance tests to place 4th in the 5B and 3rd in the 5C and a score of 64.079%. They also performed exceedingly well in the Medium Championships with a 3rd and a 2nd place and scores of 67.083% and 70.875%
LUCARNO Congratulations to Lizzie Sobecki the new owner of Lucarno ! We will watch their progress and keep you all updated. Lizzie Sobecki competed at the Para Equestrian Championships in NSW where she won the Freestyle test with over 70% and became the ‘Para Champions’. We wish Lizzie and Lucarno the best of luck for Olympic Selection for the London Games in 2012.
